Time to Rethink Your Varicose Veins

Winter is the time to rethink treating your varicose veins. Patients wear shorts and bathing suits most often during spring and summer, and the veins that have been hidden during the winter months are then exposed for all to see. Warm weather also tends to make the veins swell and become more symptomatic. Waiting until the temperature climbs to seek treatment means you'll miss out on the full benefit when it's time to bare your legs again.

One of the common procedures we perform is VNUS Closure (now known as Venefit), a minimally invasive method to seal off refluxing leg veins and eliminate leg pain due to varicose veins. Seeking treatment during the winter and early spring allows enough time for insurers to authorize this medically necessary procedure, and for us to schedule your treatment.

You can get a full evaluation of your varicose veins at any of our four regional offices. Either Dr. Rosenberg or Dr. McNeill will assess the significance of the veins and advise you of the best treatment. Capitol Vein & Laser offices are conveniently located in Frederick, MD; Bethesda, MD; Leesburg, VA; and Charles Town, WV.
